2013

Hi Everyone! Thanks so much for all the great comments here. I must admit to being a little lazy about this Website, so I am going to try to add some new songs and art soon.

My folk-duo, “The Hazy Maidens” have been very busy with performances and we are presently competing in the 4th Annual Fergus Songwriting Competition. It has been great to be performing a lot. We also were asked to do songwriting workshops at a local school for grade 4 & 5 classes before Christmas. It was wonderful to work with the children, and teachers.

I have been going to a studio to record some of my original songs, and also working with my online collaborator, Mr. Foster who is mixing and producing some original material with me.

So that’s what I am up to these days! Hope everyone checks back here in a month this site will be all updated.

Thank you so much for your interest in my music,

Love Amy

Welcome

Hello to ALL and Welcome, welcome to my new web-page!

Here I hope to let you in a little more to my inner world and together may we share in the experience of creating a space for our creative and growing friendships.

I am naturally shy and spend a great deal of time alone, but this is how I do prefer it. People in my life know that this is because I am constantly working on my music and art, and my true friends accept this personality trait of mine. I get squeamish in large crowds, and although I used to attend many rock shows, I tend to shy away from that unless it is something I absolutely must see, like Steve Hackett or Robert Plant.

I have had the pleasure of seeing some great acts, including Stevie Nicks, Heart, Robert Plant, Steve Hackett, Pink Floyd, Yes, Aerosmith, Asia, Jethro Tull, The Pretenders, Little Feat, The Allman Brothers, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaugn, Crosby Stills & Nash, 10,000 Maniacs, Steve Miller Band, Peter Frampton, Kim Mitchell,  The Grateful Dead, Ronnie James Dio, Alice Cooper, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Serena Ryder, Sloan,The Wailin Jennys, and many more whose live performances I have found to be so commanding and inspiring.

I studied Illustration & Fine Art when I was younger. Admittedly, I have not been as dedicated of late to visual art as I have to music. But this tends to go in cycles, so it may switch back at some point.

Some of you have inquired about my music for sale. At this time  it is still in the works, but I do intend to dedicate myself to the release of about 10 songs at some date in the near future. In the meantime, I will upload demos and working projects here so that you can listen to the work in progress, if you so choose.

Thank you ALL for your interest in my work, it means a great deal to me to connect with such wonderful people all over the world.

Love & Peace to YOU!

Amy
